Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa

We stayed at this resort for the first part of our trip, and while the property itself is beautiful, our overall experience left us disappointed. The grounds are very well maintained, clean, and beautiful, although the resort is on the smaller side. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our stay, with a good variety of options and consistently good food. Unfortunately, the customer service was below par. Throughout our stay, many of the staff members seemed annoyed whenever we asked for assistance, rather than welcoming. We also spent time at the beach, but no one came around to take food or drink orders, which was surprising for a resort of this caliber. The dining experience outside of breakfast was underwhelming. Most of the food we ordered was not very good, especially considering the high prices. We also ate at the crêperie. While it was fun watching the fish and sharks swim by during the meal, the crêpes themselves were just average at best, although the service there was fast. The biggest disappointment happened after checkout. I accidentally left three dresses hanging in the closet. I called the hotel that same evening and asked if they could locate them and have them delivered to the next resort where we were staying. They were only able to find two of the three dresses, despite my calling so soon after we checked out. Losing one of my dresses was frustrating and left a poor final impression. Overall, while the resort is attractive and well maintained, the service, food quality, and handling of our lost belongings did not meet the standards we expect from a Hilton property. There are many wonderful places to stay in Moorea, and unfortunately, this is not a resort we would choose to return to.

Way overpriced for what you get, a tired old resort way past its prime with poor but expensive food selection. Service is just average.

Location, site, and services are impeccable. Very beautiful beach and a very varied activity offering. Excellent breakfast buffet and well-equipped gym. However, some of the rooms border the main road and are very (too) noisy. Unworthy of the hotel's standing and the price of these rooms. We would not have stayed if the manager had not agreed to change our room.
