Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa

The TripAdvisor calendar didn't go back far enough. My wife and I were at Le Taha'a last May 2025 for a 4-night stay - not in August 2025. We were in a premium beach villa. Timing is everything they say. For us it was perfect timing as the resort had recently completed an extensive rennovation of the property. Le Taha'a is located on its own private motu - there isn't another resort anywhere nearby. It's a gorgeous resort, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The villas are beautiful, with Polynesian artwork throughout. The resort built berms of sand, trees and plants that border each side of the beach villas - providing privacy from guests on either side of you. You pretty much have your own private beach. The second day we were there, we arrived at breakfast to be greeted by first names. From that morning on, every staff member knew our names, remembered where we liked to be seated, and what we liked to drink. The only problem we had the entire time we were there was the fact that we had to pass by the ice cream shop to and from the main buildings of the resort, which meant we ate a heck of a lot of ice cream over the course of 4 days. By the way, the ice cream is homemade with fruits from the islands. Mango and Passionfruit are our favs. Le Taha'a is owned and operated by Pearl Resorts, which based on the island of Tahiti. Approximately 99% of the staff at each of the Pearl Resorts (there are 6 total) were born and raised on the Society and Marquesas Islands. As a guest, you are immediately immersed in the Polynesian culture; an experience you won't quickly forget. Be sure to say la Ora na (hello) to Tavita; he'll be greeting you at the boat dock upon your arrival. We loved Le Taha'a so much that we are returning for another 4-night stay in May 2027. Yes, in a premium beach villa.

This was our second stay at this resort and is by far our favorite. The fresh locally prepared food is amazing! The service, scenery and accomodations are fantastic! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 25th anniversary!
