TIPTOP Hotel am Hochrhein

On our way north we found this hotel. Easy check in, clean room with balcony and the Rhine and the border to Switzerland a few meters away There is quiet and quiet with plenty of parking options. The restaurant has quite reasonable prices (especially when you come from Switzerland), large menu and good service. Excellent breakfast buffet

The free parking was right in front of the hotel, so you were quick with the suitcases at reception. The friendly staff had already prepared everything. After signing the registration, however, the costs for the 3-Welten-Card and also the tourist tax (total 6.50 € per day per person) had to be paid immediately! But we also had a nice view of the Rhine. By elevator we got to the 1. Floor (of four) and reached our room. It was pleasantly large with a large insulating window to open and a balcony but without chairs. The room was laid out with laminate, the large bathroom with tiles. There was a wardrobe, a luggage rack. There was unfortunately no safe, no fridge, but the appropriate device was there. There were 2 small armchairs in front of the desk, on it a coffee machine with some capsules. The large TV and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We slept well in the beds, even if the main street was in front of the hotel. The blackout curtains were excellent with that. In the bathroom, without stool, there was enough space for storing the personal belongings, of the shelves we would have liked more in the room. Breakfast buffet: good, there was no environmentally harmful waste, the friendly staff immediately followed up, of everything there was something but no highlights as usual at 3*S. Dinner was served. The menu selection was manageable, but the portions were also sufficient for the great hunger, overall it tasted good to us. All staff were friendly, but the very attentive service in the evening we would like to mention again especially, a really “diligent and dedicated bee” has hired the hotel! To see sights, you have to drive a little further, since unfortunately the 3-world map does not always help. Overall, we see a narrow good overall verdict.
