BEST WESTERN HOTEL AM MUNSTER

I stayed 5 days in this hotel with my wife at an average of 35 degrees at the end of July. The staff is great and ready for you. The location is great with great views. You can park around the hotel for free or paid in the garage. Bicycles are free in the garage but bring a flashlight because for some dark reason there is no lighting in the bike shed and you don't see a tug. The hotel itself misses a lot: - no air conditioning (but we knew that) - no kettle in the room - no coffee machine in the room - no fridge (so no minibar) There is a beautiful swimming pool and wellness but costs 7.50 per person per day. There is WIFI but if you really need good internet then just with your tablet at a hotspot. So five days at 35 degrees globally, they make the bed every other day 👍 but I have been floating out for 5 days so the bed and my pillow stink but no clean sheets. Food in the restaurant is fine (paid and not expensive) but breakfast is meagre. Not the possibility to order an omelette or fried egg. Not much of a surprise. Just to clarify: this is a 4 star hotel and I paid 200,- per night. Very honest; had a great holiday but paid far too much for the quality of the stay. 3 stars maximum so worth max 125,- per night. Ps have made friends at the bar. 😉 (not expensive and great view)

Could be a lovely hotel but the bedroom is like a sauna! It’s too hot with no ventilation nor air conditioning whatsoever. You could have the balcony door open, but it’s too noisy from the restaurant next door. We did not sleep much at all. Only good thing about it, the breakfast was good and the young lady in charge was excellent. We will not be returning.

The bathroom is a bit cramped if you are built fuller; service, dinner and breakfast upscale; single room with balcony not mint but I didn't mind. The public areas are tasteful and beautiful though. Very nice and generous the wellness area (saunas, steam bath, infrorot, swimming pool; for a few days wellness with hiking, cycling, excursions in the Black Forest, Kaiserstuhl, Alsace more relaxing than a plane trip abroad. I was happy to come back every night and enjoy the hotel.
