This hotel has a wonderful spa and excellent cuisine. The rooms are also excellently equipped

The hotel is very beautiful, very clean, and the staff is very friendly. You can eat very delicious food in the restaurant, and the staff there is very friendly and competent. The wellness area is very modern and inviting. All in all, we were very satisfied.

We were at the Hotel zur Traube from September 7th to 10th and felt completely comfortable from the very beginning. It was especially important to us that our dog is welcome – and that was no problem at all here. Especially with the still summery temperatures, it was wonderful to eat on the large terrace, have the dog with us, and simply enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. The welcome was warm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Our room was very large and clean and also had a balcony. The side location facing the street was a bit noisy with the window open, especially in the morning hours – but for us, not a real negative point. An absolute highlight was the terrace! Always enough space, a great atmosphere, and in addition, drinks that were truly extraordinary – both in their preparation and in taste. Sensational and also absolutely fair in price. The food also thrilled us. We deliberately did not visit the restaurant, but instead used the opportunity to order smaller dinners directly on the terrace – and were more than satisfied with that. The selection is small and uncomplicated, but everything is prepared with a lot of love and is really good. We were so thrilled that we saw no reason at all to go eat anywhere else. And when a personal request like "please, really hot" for the fries is taken into account so attentively, you simply notice how much the guests' needs are catered to here. The breakfast buffet was also top-notch – rich and, above all, with wonderfully fresh rolls. The sauna area also surprised us. Very beautifully and pleasantly designed, with the plunge pools for cooling off after the sauna session as a special highlight. We also liked the spacious indoor pool. Only the floor is quite slippery – bathing shoes are therefore recommended. The hotel is also ideal as a starting point for excursions. You receive a free public transport pass and the bus stop is practically right in front of the hotel. With that, you are in Friedrichshafen in a few minutes, and from there, the area can be wonderfully explored, for example on a trip to Lindau. And of course, Lake Constance is also very close by – perfect for walks and relaxing hours by the water. The free parking, the uncomplicated online check-in, and the completely hassle-free billing were also very pleasant. Since we wanted to pay separately, that was even taken into account automatically. But what makes the hotel special for me is this familiar, warm atmosphere. You don't just feel like a guest, but truly welcome and well taken care of. That is precisely why I could also imagine the hotel being wonderful for a stay alone. The construction work in the outdoor area hardly bothered us – that did not detract from the stay. The four stars are absolutely deserved in my opinion. A truly well-rounded stay with many little highlights. We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend the hotel – especially with a dog! Only one thing would have interested me more: learning more about the impressive family history and the development of the establishment. Perhaps there will be something to read about that somewhere in the hotel or on the website in the future.
