My second home on business trips Professionally, I was at the Hotel Rio in Karlsruhe almost every week for a period of well over three years – initially even two to three nights per week. During this time, the hotel became much more to me than just accommodation. It became my second home and almost like a small family away from home. Rooms and cleanliness at consistently high levels Throughout all these years, the quality was impressively consistent. The rooms were always excellently maintained, modernly equipped, and exceptionally clean. No matter when I arrived – I always knew that the same high quality awaited me. Excellent restaurant A very special praise goes to the restaurant. I have dined there countless times and was not disappointed even once. The kitchen operates at an exceptionally high level; the dishes are of excellent quality and a delight every time. This consistency is rarely experienced nowadays. Breakfast that leaves no wishes unfulfilled. The breakfast is also one of the absolute highlights of the establishment for me. The selection is large, the products are high-quality, and there is something for every taste. Should something be missing, the attentive service team will immediately replenish it. It is precisely this love for detail that distinguishes the hotel. Perfect location. The location is also excellent. The downtown area is quickly accessible, the tram is just a few minutes' walk away, and right next to the hotel is a Rewe supermarket. Numerous restaurants are also within walking distance. Those arriving by car benefit from the hotel's underground garage as well as additional outdoor parking spaces. Thank you to the entire team. My greatest thanks go to all the staff members. I consciously refrain from naming individual names because I would certainly forget someone – and that would be unfair. Whether at the reception, breakfast, restaurant, housekeeping, or the many people behind the scenes: Each individual has contributed daily to my feeling welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. A farewell with nostalgia. With my professional restart, my time at Hotel Rio also comes to an end for now. This farewell is honestly difficult for me because over the years I not only received excellent care here but also experienced true hospitality. Thank you very much for more than three years filled with warmth, professionalism, and exceptional service. For me, the Hotel Rio undoubtedly ranks among the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I sincerely wish the entire team all the best for the future and I am already looking forward to a reunion.

Good location, castle and center within walking distance. Many nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Rooms modern + clean. Signature fragrance a little too intrusive. The bathroom very small, not usable for two. The mattress rather hard and the pillow insufficient and the reason for my morning headache. No air conditioning, rather too warm room. The breakfast buffet was then the deciding factor to 4 points, everything fresh, everything delicious, great selection, friendly service.

Nice hotel, spacious room with coffee and minibar in the room, good bed, nice and spacious breakfast. Also nice for dining, tasty and well cared for. In the centre
