This was our fifth time at this hotel. While it is a budget hotel, we have always found the reception staffed, and the hotel was always clean. This time, we arrived at a construction site! We had not been informed that the hotel is undergoing a lot of building work. The reception was closed and we had to hunt for the receptionist at the back of the kitchen. We were charged an extra 15 euros for checking in early, to a room that was obviously ready! However, there was a fine layer of dust over it already, and the corridors were full of dust. The heating wasn't working, so I had to ask for a fan heater, and that circulated the dust nicely! The builders started just after 7am, and rubble was being transported in the guest elevator. None of the building work was sealed off, and we were sneezing and coughing for the two nights we were there. The cold water supply to the sink had extremely low pressure and was only trickling. On the plus side, there was hot water, a comfortable bed and the internet was working. When the receptionists were present, both of them were kind and helpful, but there is no way we will ever stay here again. There are other better hotels nearby that are just as convenient for the tram lines, and with little difference in the price.

It was the 5th time in this hotel. This time the floor was not well cleaned. The soap dispenser at the sink was empty and for heat regulation there was a small fan heater (in December!) instead of air conditioning. The doors could only be closed with a bang as the latch no longer regulated the frame. The input of the numerical code was very loud. But on the plus side: big room, big comfortable bed, nice and helpful staff! Hopefully it will be better after the renovation is completed.

By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty rooms, vermin, untrained staff, smell and noise nuisance. Existing safes could not be used because “they are not part of the B&B standard”. The only positive thing I can say is that the room rate for a triple room was really ok. Nevertheless, I expect at least cleanliness and no giant beetles on the floor, countless dead flies in bed and on the walls spider webs including spiders. The carpet was so covered with indefinable stains that you would have preferred to jump out of bed in rubber boots. The interior was very old but functional. I don't expect luxury for a low price, but a certain basic cleanliness would still be appropriate.
