Marco on the front desk is fantastic, great local knowledge and very friendly. Always had time to help with questions and suggest where to go around the area. Very nice renovated and clean rooms Big bathroom with bath and amenities/toiletries and separate toilet. Good Internet TV/desk. Nice view of the courtyard Breakfast nice setting but average continental not a great variety just pastries /yogurt no hot food no toast etc. Good coffee and tea that they bought out in pots. Good service and clean. Nice little bar. Easy parking in side street just past the hotel entry. €18 a night. Very close literally a few minutes walk to the center of town. Plenty of places to eat and drink just minutes away

ArtHotel Heidelberg gets everything right. The location is unbeatable — steps from the Hauptstrasse and Old Town, yet the hotel itself feels like a world apart. What makes it especially charming is how the modern, beautifully designed rooms are woven into a historic building. You get the best of both worlds: old Heidelberg character with contemporary comfort. The rooms are quiet, immaculate, and thoughtfully appointed. The bathroom in particular was a cut above what you'd expect at this price point. Speaking of price — compared to other hotels of similar or lesser quality in the area, ArtHotel Heidelberg is genuinely good value. The staff made it even better: helpful, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. If you're visiting Heidelberg, look no further.

I booked through Booking.com on December 4 for a late-December stay. The hotel emailed me directly saying the credit card I used to hold the hotel was not going through/was invalid, so I sent it to them the same day. Later that same day, I canceled the reservation through Booking.com (See below). The day after the original stay date, the hotel texted asking why we didn’t show up. I responded that the reservation had been canceled and sent the Booking.com cancellation confirmation. (See text conversation attached). Despite this, the hotel charged my credit card. I emailed the hotel requesting a refund (see below) and received no response. I now have to pursue this with both my credit card company and Booking.com. I expect the $450 will be refunded, but the fact that I have to go through this - and that the hotel charged my card despite knowing the reservation was canceled - is frankly shocking. I’ve never experienced anything like this before.
