The house could be a gem - if the staff were trained! Reception/management is unable to use an electronically sent credit card as security - and responds in an absolutely impossible (rude) style when requesting a booking confirmation. In personal contact, everyone is so extremely over-friendly that you feel quite beleaguered - but without offering solutions. The head waiter is not able to type the food and drink wishes of the guests into his device without any problems (and without errors!!). He also doesn't really know the menu, doesn't know what the dessert of the day is, for example. The (single) room is ok, only the bed is a disaster: 2 mattresses (a fairly thick one is supposedly a topper), both much too soft and only loosely lying on top of each other, so that the upper one constantly slips away and the bed as a whole is much too high. So overall not a hotel I would ever want to go to again.

We have been using the hotel for years on the way to / from Bavaria. Friendly reception at reception, ample parking right outside. Located absolutely quiet above Bad Boll, you can walk out of the house or walk with the dog. we always book the double room as an EZ, preferably with balcony, so that you have a large room with a view to the garden. And the dog can get some fresh air on the balcony. Some rooms have white tiled bathtubs with showers, while the publicly-moderated rooms have walk-in showers. NEVER book (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) a single room. we made the mistake once and got a dark cell of minimal size facing the parking lot or the street. The double room itself well equipped with drinks, seating, desk and flat screen TV. Price ok too.

Stayed 3 nights here. Great dated , but clean hotel with great views over the valley at the back . Good beds and bathroom. 6 charging stations for car available. Because the road in front of the hotel is main road I recommend to book a room at the rear. Breakfast was also fine. The small pool fine to cool off. By the pool sliding doors to a small sun terrace . On Sundays , the restaurant at the hotel is closed for dinner , but plenty of choice in the area . If you walk right up the hill at hotel you will end up in a beautiful old forest where you can make a very nice walk. Walking routes are at the reception
