Parkhotel Adler

The Parkhotel Adler Hinterzarten is one of the best addresses in the Southern Black Forest, with minor weaknesses. We were at the Parkhotel Adler for the first time and came directly from a stay in the Allgäu, which is why we had a direct comparison. The arrival and welcome at the reception were already quite reserved. It was raining lightly and there is no canopy at the driveway. At the reception, for example, we were not offered an umbrella or asked if we needed help with our luggage. We also had to pour our own welcome drink. Yes, these are small things, but expected for a 5* hotel. After check-in, we were not accompanied to the suite, which we would have expected. Also a turndown or... evening service does not exist. The suite was very spacious and newly renovated. A dream of a suite. The suite had everything one could expect. The minibar is included and was always restocked. The friendliness of the staff is inconsistent. There were staff members who neither greeted us nor had a smile. Others were super friendly and helpful. The pool area is rather below average with an indoor pool (rather older) and a heated outdoor pool. The outdoor hot tub is very good and was used a lot. A renovation of the pool area would be absolutely necessary for a 5* hotel. The breakfast and dinner were very good and the food tasted very good. We never had the need to go out to eat. The Parkhotel Adler is very well located and we enjoyed our stay and can recommend the hotel despite small weaknesses.

It is simply a top-class establishment that meets our ideas and expectations exactly. The demanding price is offset by quality in all aspects. Very attentive, friendly, and dedicated staff, best facilities, and top-notch cuisine in a unique location!

Beautiful hotel with lovely details. The room & the various dining areas are fantastically designed. The half-board concept leaves nothing to be desired. Wellness with a sunbathing area outside in nice weather is very relaxing. The entire team is friendly and helpful. Thank you very much!
