Arthotel Ana

Fantastic hotel, managed by guys who are always available and cheerful. Rooms are just the right size, breakfast is abundant, and there is always the possibility of being able to drink or have a coffee. The adjacent restaurant is also highly recommended, with top-level Italian cuisine at honest prices. Definitely the best choice in Augsburg.

I was a guest at the Art Hotel ANA Style from May 14 to May 17, 2026. My first room during this period was directly above the smoking terrace, which is why I fell asleep and woke up every evening and morning in cigarette smoke. Kindly, I was allowed to change rooms for the third night. Unfortunately, this was not an improvement, because when I arrived at the hotel at 8:30 PM, there was neither a pillow nor a blanket on my bed. The reception was already unstaffed at that time. The employee at the emergency phone number pretended briefly, half-heartedly, and with maximum ineffectiveness that he wanted to help me ("You will have to move to another hotel, I cannot help you."), and then ended the call with "Hello, hello, I cannot hear you." Since the other hotels nearby were fully booked on Saturday night, I was left with only one night without a pillow and blanket. A hotel that is run so unprofessionally and reluctantly, and treats its guests so unempathetically, does not deserve any guests.

Where the hotel got its 4 stars is a mystery to me. The room was dirty, worn out with stained carpeting and hanging curtains. Throughout the hotel, old carpet soiled with stains. The breakfast buffet was a joke. Blank plates were replaced only on request. There was only one type of cut cheese. The coffee machine was so dirty you wouldn't want to put your cup under it.
