The Hotel Schillingshof is a large hotel and yet very familiar. Very friendly staff, great outdoor areas, garden, outdoor seating. The swimming pool is a dream and there is a great spa area. Food always excellent. We love to be here and keep coming back

In the month of January we stayed about five nights at Hotel Schillingshof in Bad Kohlgrub. What an experience! The cleanliness of the hotel, the extensive breakfast and the choice of a refined three-course menu with the allures of a star restaurant have surprised us particularly pleasantly. The spacious and beautiful swimming pool, as well as the sauna – which were also perfectly maintained – offered, despite outdoor temperatures of up to minus 10 degrees, the ideal relaxation after outdoor activities and visiting the many sights in the area. Think of ski slopes, frozen lakes, gorges (Klammen), monasteries, Linderhof Castle and charming towns and villages such as Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberammergau. The presence of an underground garage was also a big plus. Even there the temperature remained pleasant (about minus 1 degree), while outside at night it was - 16. In short: kudos to Hotel Schillingshof – for the hotel itself, the professionalism of the staff and their friendliness. We will be back here without a doubt!

The hotel is very well maintained. For the breakfast buffet I give 5 points. The hot dinner buffet was better in class last year. I wouldn't book it as a half board. The level of guests is greatly below average. That led me to leave two earlier, as booked. For this reason only 3 points.
