Hotel ibis Muenchen City Nord

On 20 December 2025, While checking out (Reservierung Nr. 6441795843), the credit card machine didn't accept the payment, according to the reception clerk. So he gave us another machine and we paid. Later that day we found out that the payment went twice. We came back the next day and talked to the hotel manager. He said there was nothing he could do, and gave us the email of the management. We sent an email to Mr. Ulf Templin on 22 December, and a second email on 3 January 2026, with an attachment proving the double payment. No response came to any of those emails, apart from a confirmation or receipt. We had no choice but to turn to the credit card company to try and receive the money back. After a few weeks they let us know per phone last week that they cannot get a response from the hotel. The stay at the hotel was ok, the room was clean and service according to standards, but this experience really tarnished the whole stay. We are still awaiting a refund. I can back up this review with credit card statements and copies of my emails to the hotel.

Solid hotel, but in need of renovation. The staff at the reception was very nice, all the other staff I met rather cool. Rooms are ok, but need renovation as much is chipped and damaged. Was here on business and would probably choose another hotel next time.

Positive - staff in breakfast room very friendly and efficient. Breakfast good. Negative - lack of privacy. Housekeeping knocked didn’t wait for answer and entered after 2 second despite do not disturb sign. Only two towels asked for more but made to feel guilty about environment when all we wanted was one more towel separate for hands and face . Staff on reception rude, sarcastic and indignant. Bottled water 4 euros
