Hotel Monaco

The thing that makes the stay here enjoyable is the staff. They are all so friendly with a big smile on their faces, and are keen to help you out whenever they can. Also ideally located. Read from previous reviews that noise can be an issue but didn't experience that - the hotel is located high above the street so a lot of noise doesn't actually transmit! Will definitely return here if I was to come back to Munich!

What a wonderful place to stay! We wanted somewhere close to the city that was cheap enough so we didn’t eat into our holiday fund. We were not disappointed. This old fashioned hotel felt like a home away from home. The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever met. We were given a brief guide of the main attractions to see when we arrived before leaving for Oktoberfest which was only a 10 minute walk away. If I ever return to Munich I would be delighted to stay again as the staff and location combined was perfect for what we needed. The Monaco isn't a fancy hotel, but it's location so close to Munich's main train station (inter-city and outer) is fantastic. There's a block close by that is not the best in Munich, but does not create problems. There are lots of places close by to eat a big meal or just catch something on the fly. It's also very close to where most of the various tours meet. The staff is incredible. They're more than helpful, friendly and attentive.
