I had found the pictures on the homepage to be very inviting, well-maintained, and atmospheric, and therefore chose the hotel for a short trip. Overall, we had a stay with a few positive and also a few negative aspects.
What we found positive:
the parking lot is large and there was always a free space.
The welcome at the reception was very nice overall.
The room was basically furnished in an appealing way.
The selection at the breakfast buffet was large and there was plenty of space, so we always had enough free tables around us and did not sit cramped during breakfast.
The wellness/pool area offers various sections.
What we found negative:
At check-in, the employee told us that we should please be so kind as to come to the reception if we had any complaints, so that "they could defend themselves and things would not be discussed only upon departure" - I laughed about it at first. But I know now why that apparently happens more often:
when trying to speak to employees about our concerns (the shower stream was so intensely "sharp" and hard that it hurt the skin / so much water leaked out of the shower while showering that it ran all the way to the room's entrance door / groups of smokers gathered directly below our window who were not supposed to smoke directly in front of the hotel entrance, so we could not open our window without all the smoke smell drifting into our window), we noticed that unfortunately none of the 3 employees we spoke to really understood us. We think it is great that employees are also hired who may still be in the process of learning German, but it is quite difficult as a guest when you try to present your concern and the response is either just a shrug, a smile, or an answer that makes it clear that the concern was not understood and the employee then leaves.
This gave me the impression that the hotel doesn't really care how I feel as a guest - even if that might not be the intention at all.
Regarding the "water damage": the staff member cleaned and removed the water immediately, which was great. When we asked who we could contact to have the problem fixed from the ground up, she said that "we didn't have to and it wasn't that bad, other than a lot of water."
I am happy to do my part for a successful stay with an open attitude, but as a guest, and especially on vacation, I really do not want to have to explicitly and repeatedly make an effort to get things that are not working back up and running.
Regarding the wellness/pool area, I would also like to note that the water in the pools was sometimes not really clean / well-maintained. There were relatively many long hairs in the water - and not just once.
Overall, I would not choose this hotel again, even if it had some positive aspects.

The hotel has had my original reviews deleted. This is an honest transparent representation of my experience
I have not invented anything and can prove my criticism points with photos. The fact that my reviews were deleted for defamation does not speak for the hotel but is the absolutely wrong way to deal with constructive criticism.
I was NOT a guest at the hotel but only a user of the Day Spa offer. Therefore, an assessment of the room, breakfast etc. is not possible
As a non-hotel guest, it is possible to make a reservation at the spa to look for relaxation.
Positively, I would like to mention the friendly and helpful staff at the reception.
The parking situation on site and the quality of the food in the bistro in the spa area are also positive.
However, there are many points that I personally don't like and that in my opinion are definitely NOT worth the money you pay.
The cleanliness leaves something to be desired at some corners and ends, likewise the partly outdated and worn and even defective condition of some systems is to be criticized. Doors in particular are already splintering and sometimes even jamming. Showers react very slowly to temperature changes, fittings (shower heads) are sometimes tiny and not enough. Especially in the pool area.
The locker room is really bad. Partly it looks so dark on the wallpaper at the window that it looks like mold, paint peels off and the wall ripples with moisture. Not every locker works. There is no shower gel in the shower. (By the way, there is only a single shower in the locker room) I would also expect that for the price. After all, it is also common in good hotels to find dispensers in the shower in the rooms.
Tap water from a tap is offered for drinking, of course without a cup. You can draw water with your hands. Which is pretty tedious when you're thirsty. I'd at least expect reusable cups.
The service at the bistro was rather solala. He was nice but didn't understand half the order. The food took forever. (30min for a bread with topping) And then another 30 minutes for a tartare. And we were next to another couple who only had drinks, the only guests in the bistro.
Also sourly upsetting is the thing with "not textile-free" a sauna is unfortunately not really fun with a bikini. Also I wonder which hotel guest spontaneously has bathing suits with you. I don't understand why you don't separate sauna and pool textilely technically as in any normal welness facility in Germany. Sweating in clothes is uncomfortable and not fun.
I wouldn't want to come back together.

The Hotel is elegant and well-kept.
The rooms are clean but small in size as well as having a somewhat dated style.
Good breakfast and bar service.
Friendly service.
