Nice place yes some train noise and acceptable l only thing that in the evening are not from walks does not work the tv in the room

We had booked through Check24 from 31.08. to 07.09.2025. Unfortunately, the stay was very far from what we expected. Our first apartment was located in a residential complex – this was not apparent in the booking. The first two nights there were extremely uncomfortable: First evening: A heavily drunk resident met us in the dark staircase. Second day: There was a man standing at the elevator in only his underpants & muscle shirt. Overall, the hallways seemed very uncertain, hardly any light, no good atmosphere. When we approached the receptionist about this, we got the following answer: “What am I supposed to do, throw out all the crack hookers?” The boss later said that mentally ill tenants also live here. For us, this was confirmation that the hotel knows the situation but did not inform guests beforehand. Although the hotel is advertised dog-friendly, the receptionist called our dog “dirty Töle”. After two nights, we were transferred to another apartment within the hotel complex because we did not feel safe in the first. This second apartment was better, but also only for two nights. Because no solution was found for the rest of the stay, the boss cancelled our booking on 03.09., informed us afterwards and left the night from 03.09. to 04.09. free of charge. After that we had to make an ad-hoc effort to find a new accommodation. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The refund of the remaining nights was easily arranged via Check24. After everything we received an email with the wrong title “Dear Mr. Hofmann” and the request for positive reviews. After these experiences, this just doesn't fit for us.

The hotel is 1.2 km from the island, during the summer with a nice walk you can reach the center. I don't think it has an excellent Price quality ratio, but Lindau is quite expensive. They have a very useful and convenient Covered parking. The breakfast is excellent, with sweet and savory, worthy of a 4 star. What we found unacceptable is the lack of shutters in the room, basically we had 30 degrees in the afternoon and we were forced to stay outside because we could not breathe. We only had a small fan. We were still aware that there was no air conditioning. The suction system in the bathroom was working on the surface, but even in there it was about 30 degrees, so you'd come in and you'd want to escape. There is no elevator and you have to walk (in the 3rd millennium I thought elevators were located .. fortunately we had no walking problems). Basically many inconveniences, especially due to the summer season. Friendly staff, nothing to say .. we will gladly return but never again in summer.
