Super helpful young woman at reception (dark hair and beautiful teeth) Went above and beyond for us. Had everything we needed for a short stay. Very clean. Good location for sightseeing/shopping/transport

I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE. My flight was arriving quite late so I emailed the hotel twice the day before to let them know of my arrival time but both emails bounced back as undeliverable. info@bayers-hotels.de When I arrived at the hotel at about 9:45 pm, everything was dark. The front doors were locked and reception area was in darkness. I rang the doorbell, dialled various numbers on a piece of paper stuck to the window which could hardly be read in the bad light – and rang the main hotel number but no answer by anyone. After half an hour waiting on the street in the freezing cold, panic was starting to set in. There were no guests coming in or out either that I could ask. I messaged Agoda and they had to sort out an alternative hotel for me at 11pm. They were unable to contact Bayers hotel either. The following morning I walked past the hotel and reception was open. I went in and asked what on earth was happening. They said the hotel had changed to self check in about a month ago and I should have received emails about it with forms to fill in and codes. I had received nothing from them or Agoda and all websites state its 24 hour reception. I told the lady I had emailed them about my late arrival and she insinuated I’d sent it to the wrong address, – I checked and it was the correct one. There are clearly serious issues here. Be very careful if you stay here.

We stayed at Hotel Bayer’s in both the Standard Double Room (16 m², ~€105/night) and the Deluxe Double Room (17 m², ~€145/night). Staff are nice and friendly, and they do allow you to store luggage before check-in and after check-out, which is convenient. The location near Munich Hbf is also very central. However, the problems outweigh the positives: • Bathroom/Shower: Poorly designed shower with no door, so water leaks out and the floor outside gets wet and slippery. The shower drain is partly clogged, and the bathroom smells of mold. • Room condition: Rusty taps, rusty bins, and an overall unclean feel. Quilt covers are not put on properly, and when I fixed it, the inner quilt was dirty and unpleasant. • Deluxe vs. Standard: The Deluxe feels smaller than the Standard, the only addition being a sofa bed — not worth the extra cost. Overall, although the staff were welcoming and the location is convenient, the condition of the rooms and bathrooms was unacceptable. Sadly, I would not return to this hotel.
