Hotel Residenz Beckenlehner

We had our first negative impression shortly after our booking when we were able to provide information regarding our arrival time. We had done so and received the notification that check-in is possible from 3 PM, but if we arrive around 1 PM, we are welcome to check in earlier for an extra $50. Rip-off. I called again before our arrival and asked about the check-in and the keys. The key was then left for us in the safe at the entrance. Because, as stated at the time of booking, we were there around 1 PM. Nobody gives away a day just because you are not allowed into the room. But even here, we were offered the 50€ for an early check-in once again. Apparently, there were already rooms available. We declined and changed our clothes in the basement. Pathetic for a hotel. There were free rooms, it causes no trouble, and the guest is leaving again soon anyway. We have NEVER had that, in no hotel across Europe. The room was a nice size. But that was it. We came back around 10:30 PM and wanted to take a shower first. Stupid without hot water and no electricity in the bathroom. So I had to talk to an answering machine, since no staff was available. There was no response until we checked out. My night ended very early because the street was very loud, the window was broken and could not be closed properly, and the staff was very loud while cleaning the rooms. My hope was on breakfast; they say that dies last, after all. The boiled eggs and the coffee are worth mentioning in a positive light. Done. I could not eat any sausage because there was none there or it looked very unappetizing. That has also never happened before. Visually, it was pre-packaged cheap sausage and cheese. The kicker was the expired margarine, which was very annoying, and we also found presenting the butter as a block to be very unappetizing. Here, it is not the guest, but greed that comes first. And as for the cleanliness, we took pictures of the cobwebs on the ceiling. So we are definitely not coming back. We have had much cheaper hotels with more comfort, friendliness, and cleanliness.

The room was very nice, large, and clean. We were only there for one night, probably not for several nights. Breakfast buffet was okay. Price was fine. Staff at the front desk, upon our arrival, a bit "unmotivated," immediately creates a strange feeling.

We stayed 4 nights at this property and I can only say that it was a pleasant experience. Welcoming, clean environment, spacious rooms, and they were cleaned every day. Very kind staff and excellent breakfast. Excellent sleep quality, impeccable silence. I recommend this property.
