Ibis Muenchen City

The staff at this Ibis were exceptional, especially Irina and Anya (I apologize if I misspell those names). The staff went over and above to cater to our needs; they were very kind and helpful in every way. Staff brought fans to our room to help with heat dissipation (the building's air conditioning had broken down in the entire building, brought on by the recent heatwave in Europe). The staff also efficiently moved us to a larger, cooler room on a lower floor as our stay was of long duration. We were always acknowledged or greeted by staff in a friendly way when we returned to the hotel after a day's outing. The quality and variety of breakfast at this Ibis is impressive. Every food item was delicious and fresh-tasting. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, and the staff in the breakfast room were outstanding. Housekeeping kept our room very clean. Water pressure and hot water were plentiful for showering, and there were a good supply of spare towels available. As far as I could see, none of the hotel rooms had clothes closets or safes for valuables, but the rooms we stayed in were clean and space-efficient. There was a very nice lounge/seating area on the ground floor where guests could enjoy a drink from the bar or just rest for a while; newspapers were provided. There were many cafes and restaurants on Dachauer Strasse, so we never had to wander too far in search of food or drinks. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel handled a group of 41 people well. Small rooms, but efficiently and smartly furnished, Clean and nice. Nice service. Good breakfast. Central location. Okay price.

We stayed just for 2 nights. The hotel is in a very convenient location, near city center of Karlzplatz and Haupbahnhof train station, metro and tram stations too, with many cafes and restaurants around it, though the area safety is a bit lower than average. The room was very small, and even a bit awkwarding with a bathroom even smaller but it looks directly over the main street. it is nice but sometimes it gets a bit noisy. Wifi was not bad and the small TV set had mainly German channels. Breakfast was modest. Not too many options but was fair enough. Staff members in general were nice with a good command of english language, and it was very clean. We were on a group trip, so i really can't tell about the prices but they are probably very moderate. In general, maybe there are better options for hotels especially the tight rooms but nothing to really complain about.
