It is still a nice hotel, after all. I used to visit Sofitel Munich very often, and now, after many years, I am back again. We wanted to order something from room service, but we couldn't find a menu. The phone did not work. I then went to the reception. There, I was informed that the menu can be viewed on the TV via QR code. Great, that could have been communicated beforehand. I asked the staff at the reception to place an order briefly. Apparently, room service was busy and wanted to call back immediately. I waited a long time, but nothing happened. I then picked up "room service" for us at the train station! At least the phone was repaired quickly. When we wanted a taxi in the evening, that unfortunately did not work either - but that was also due to the taxi driver. There is no longer a turn-down service at Sofitel either. One can certainly survive - still a pity! We like to book good hotels - especially because of the service. Instead of Sofitel, I can go to a budget hotel in the future - the difference melts away like snow in the sun. Actually, we were also looking forward to breakfast from room service. We preferred to vote that out instead. For us, it was the last time at Sofitel Munich! Bye, bye! It's a shame that we have damaged the good memory.

We booked a suite for three nights by phone, as we had some medical examinations ahead of us, and we explicitly booked the room in the invoice without breakfast. We received suite 851. The room is really worn out and partially dirty and filthy. After our second complaint, we received another suite, which was not exactly top-notch but at least cleaner. On the bill, we immediately noticed 6 breakfasts (at 45 euros each). On one day, we were not charged for breakfast, which was correct; on the second day, we were charged for 2 breakfasts even though only one person had breakfast, and on the last day, we were charged for 4 breakfasts (!). Two would have been correct. Aside from the fact that breakfast is never worth 45.00 euros, we were informed that the room price included breakfast. That was a scam. I spent almost the entire day trying to reach the hotel by phone, but eventually gave up. Sorry Sofitel, you will not see us again, and I can only advise everyone not to book this hotel. Top-notch!

It is a hotel that is too large and has old facilities. It does not meet the 5-star standard in any way! The breakfast lacks variety, much less selection than other 4-star hotels I have visited in Germany. The location may be suitable for business visitors due to its proximity to the train station, but it is far from the central area and parks. The rooms are dark and tend to be too hot in the summer. There are better options in prettier areas and perhaps at the same or better prices.
