This hotel was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, I checked out after less than 24 hours. I found multiple insects in my room, including on the bed, and photographed them. When I initially asked to change rooms, the tall, young brunette man told me, “There’s nothing we can do for you.” For a room costing over $200 per night, I found that response extremely unacceptable. The water also had a strange, unpleasant smell. I contacted the hotel in writing and Booking.com for assistance, but the hotel never responded to my message or to Booking.com’s attempts to help. Other reviews mention staff being helpful with Oktoberfest information and even rides to the train station, so I was surprised by how cold my own experience felt. I understand that one insect can happen anywhere, but after finding several and receiving no meaningful assistance, I chose to leave early. A simple room change or genuine effort to address the situation would have made a huge difference. I do not recommend staying here. This was an extremely unpleasant way to start my first Oktoberfest.

This hotel is worth its price. Very friendly staff, super clean in all areas, quiet yet centrally located.

The family owned Hotel Westside 30 minutes from the beautiful Munich,is a Bert nice experience. The breakfast has everything you would ask for and everything beyond, if you just ask. The surroundings are typically German villas, and you have walking distance to at least two supermarkets. There are several “Biergarten” close by if you don’t feel like going into the city centre for a meal, just ask at the reception and they’ll help you. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. The service is excellent, we even got a free ride to where we were supposed to work these two days, just 10 minutes away - but still! I will definitely stay at Hotel Westside again, next time I’m in Munich.
