JUFA Nordlingen

The room we ordered was not ready until 4 PM. We did not move in until 5 PM. Since the rooms are not serviced by housekeeping during a stay and since there tend to be few arrivals and departures on a Tuesday, it would have been easily possible to have a room ready earlier for new arrivals.

You can certainly charge €200 for a room. But then you also have to provide the corresponding value. Unfortunately, that was not present. Rather simple room with a separate but much too small toilet. Bathroom rather simply equipped. The bed and furnishings also remind one more of a hotel for construction workers. The hotel's location is good, right by the city wall. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Still does not justify the high price. Additional parking fees are also charged.

First, the positive - the rooms were okay and clean and the breakfast buffet was quite good. Everything else, however, could really be better. Moving tables - not possible - supposedly for fire safety reasons. Not so nice for a larger group that would like to sit together. Reserving tables so that they are at least nearby was also not possible, and the responses from the reception and service staff were very curt to rude. Knight's dinner - I know that much better. The only thing that reminds one of knights is the beautiful tower, however, at an outside temperature of 36 degrees and a, well, buffet that additionally heats things up, it is unbearably stuffy and warm. They could have perhaps set up a portable air conditioning unit 1 hour beforehand. My 80-year-old mother, who laboriously climbed the tower, turned right back around because she couldn't stand it at all. Upon entering the tower, we were then told quite casually that they have too little staff and we therefore have to serve ourselves, but that the drinks are free in return. (We still had to pay for 2 bottles of wine ourselves anyway). Thus, our knight's dinner, which was supposed to be the highlight, was a complete failure.
