Hotel Elch

A small, fine, quiet hotel on the edge of the old town; everything is easily accessible on foot. Very good breakfast, parking space for a fee, elevator, very friendly staff. The comfort room was sufficiently large, the bathroom very small, the shower very slippery; caution is advised. Everything very clean and well-maintained. We liked it very much. Gladly again.

Experiences satisfactory, in Nuremberg, primarily for the location a stone's throw from the historic center, and also because it has a private parking. The rooms are relatively small and with a shower room quite cramped, for non-minute people. We did not have breakfast and the price compared to other facilities is perhaps higher than low, while maintaining acceptable levels.

First, the positives - a clean hotel in a central location with a good breakfast. Some of the staff were very helpful, especially when we checked in and realized we’d inadvertently booked a special package we didn’t want. The woman working helped us unwind it and we agreed on an alternative rate. The negative - upon departure, after we’d paid the agreed rate the evening before, the hotel manager insisted we owed more - 33 Euros for 2 breakfasts. When we tried to explain, she started yelling at us and threatened to call the police. She wouldn’t even let me return to the room to get the paper with the agreed rate details. My husband and I were so shocked that we paid and left. This is the first time we’ve left a negative review, but hope to spare others this sort of treatment.
