TOP Duerer Hotel Nuremberg

We were here as a group of four for an overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday. The location right on the edge of the old town convinced us. Check-in and check-out were uncomplicated, and the reception was friendly. The rooms are appropriately equipped. We had a room with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. I have never had such attractive and modern sanitary facilities in any hotel before. Three sinks as well as a toilet, shower, and bathtub leave all options open. The view from the balcony was not very spectacular, but the breakfast was good.

The hotel is located on the edge of the old town near the Dürer House and below the Imperial Castle. The access is a bit complicated – definitely follow the sign to the hotel shortly before arriving. The entrance to the hotel garage (€ 17 per night) is narrow; inside there are two parking levels (with a car lift). However, you are guided in. We had a very quiet room at the back. Very good and rich breakfast buffet with plenty of space in the room. The sights begin after the hotel; it is approx. 10 minutes on foot to the town hall square; another 10 minutes across the Pegnitz into the other part of the city (e.g., to the Marriage Merry-Go-Round).

Really cozy hotel with a great location in the old town of Nuremberg. The hotel has its own garage in the basement, which is easy to access. The rooms and bathrooms are a little small, but there is everything you need. On a city break, you don’t usually stay in the room much. Our room had a nice little balcony with a couple of chairs facing the hotel's cozy courtyard. You live quietly right up the city wall and close to a square (Beim Tiergärtnertor) with many restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was nice with a reasonable selection.
