We were three people staying at the Dorint Sporthotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in August. Even though this hotel complex fits very well into the area, one still notices that this hotel complex has seen better days in terms of design and amenities. We had an apartment in building 2C and the toilet area had really seen better days, both in terms of the exposed water pipes and the installed cistern! The furniture has also seen better days... upon inquiry, we were told that only building 3 has been modernized! Regarding the breakfast buffet, there is only positive news to report; it was very extensive and very versatile!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent... everything one could desire was available. But I find 25 euros per dog per night outrageously expensive. I have two Yorkshire Terriers, for which I consequently paid 50 euros. So almost the price that an adult pays as well. I really have to ask myself what justifies that....

I have stayed in better Dorint hotels. It is a 4-star hotel. Yes, the hotel meets the requirements... the breakfast is great, tasty, fresh, and it is replenished. The reception staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. You have to pay extra for the spa; the sauna is otherwise included in the price at comparable hotels. The hotel is okay for families; a playground/game room is available. Room cleaning should be every two days. Our room was not cleaned after 2 days. Getting fresh towels was not a problem; we were kindly assisted at the reception. But one had to take care of oneself. There were also silverfish in the bathroom; I do not want that in a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. We hiked a lot, and the bus stop is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, as is the Olympic Stadium. I will not book this hotel again, but I would gladly stay at Dorint in other cities.
