Altstadthotel Am Pach

We booked this nice hotel in the Alstad of Regensburg to be close to the Christmas Markets. It was a perfect location to walk to not only the markets but to all the tourist sites in the old downtown. Our room was a superior double and it was huge, updated and spotlessly clean. The hotel is located in a pedesterian area that allows you to drive to and from the hotel. The parking was paid through the hotel and was a few blocks away. In the instructions from the hotel about driving there, they mention needing the enviromental green sticker on your windshield. No need to worry, it is on all rental cars. Breakfast was also great!

1. The picture depicts a hotel by the river. This hotel is not near the river at all. 2. Loud, noisy, unfriendly front desk staff that offered no help with recommendations on what to do. 3. I booked directly with the hotel and was given a terrible room. My friends that used booking.com paid 20€ less and had a room twice the size.

If you want to stay in the centre of Regensburg then this is for you. A spacious room which was comfortable and clean this hotel may not meet Some folks’ standards of expecting coffee makers etc en suite (there are tea and coffee facilities on each floor) but it’s comfortable , beautifully situated, with rooms named after historical figures and is welcoming. Great shower and bath. The hotel staff go at 8pm - like many rural hotels - so your key lets you in if you’re out late . This was perfect for us in location, tucked away down a picturesque street Definitely one to come back to
