Gasthof Hotel Bezold

A fantastic breakfast at a reasonable price! The hotel/restaurant run by a young couple looks rather unremarkable from the outside. We stumbled upon it for breakfast and were very satisfied. Okay, not having fresh orange juice on Sunday can be overlooked... But the many little details really make a difference. Whether it is the truly creamy whipped butter or the homemade orange hollandaise for the "Strammer Max," simply excellent. Some star-rated kitchens could take a cue from this!

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife during a holiday in Germany. Check-in was very friendly and easy and there is parking behind the hotel. The room was in the attic which meant climbing a few flights of stairs. The receptionist offered to help with our luggage but we managed. The room was a decent size with plenty of storage. Bathroom was also big enough for our needs and both room and bathroom were very clean. Everything worked as intended in the room. There was no safe in the room and free teacoffee making facilities were located on the landing outside of our room for all guests along with an honesty bar (beer, wine, snacks, soft drinks). This did mean when someone used the kettle the noise was clearly heard in our room. Fortunately no one used it at unreasonable times. There is no aircon and on our last night it did get quite warm in the room. There was no fan in the room and none offered when we returned that afternoon despite the very hot weather. We did not have any problems with road noise or noise from other rooms affecting our sleep. Location is very good and only 1 minute walk from one of the city wall towers. Apart from the very warm room on our final night we totally enjoyed our visit to Rothenburg. We also visited the following 2 towns which were not far from Rothenburg and worth a visit - Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen. After leaving Rothenburg we travelled to Heidelberg and the following 2 places were very pretty - Vellberg and Bad Wimpfen

A very cozy hotel under the door / tower of the village. With private parking. Spacious room with TV and WiFi. We did not have breakfast at the hotel which you pay separately and is actually caruccia €18. The girl at reception very nice and smiling. Rothemburg is definitely worth seeing. It's lovely
