Hotel Am Kureck

Excellent rooms, modern built, nice view, great location, friendly staff and fast wifi. Could not ask for more. The hotel is near the lake, not far from many skiing sites and can be great starting point for trips in the Alps. I really enjoyed the stay!

In our 3 weeks of European travel this summer, with 2 exceptions we chose to return to places previously visited. The Hotel am Kureck was one of the exceptions, and the food and hotel certainly met if not exceeded our expectations. The room was actually 2 rooms, and I believe our Room 202 had from our balcony the best view of any in the hotel. The lack of elevator was not a problem for us, but we did climb many stairs and even had one of the hotel staff volunteer to assist us! The first night of our stay the hotel restaurant was closed, but the next 2 nights at the Hotel am Kureck restaurant were rewarding in choices as well as presentation. The Hotel am Kureck is not on the shore of the Tegernsee, and a festival including tents and campers hampered our view somewhat. We did take a bus to the town of Tegernsee and used the ferry for the return trip. Particularly to be commended are Ms. Held, her assistant Simone, and the chef in residence there. Obviously we would recommend the Hotel am Kureck in Bad Wiessee.

Beautiful hotel - very nice staff - excellent breakfast and fantastic restaurant. Lovely position with a view of the lake from the balcony. Highly recommended!
