Best Western Hotel Cristal

Stayed here for 10 nights. Great location right next to the main town and train station. Rooms good as well and staff very helpful. Lifts also quick as well. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Munich.

The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The room was as expected, and ok for the price. Only problem was a slight smell from the pipes in the bathroom. The hotel is very close to the train station, but the neighbourhood is not the best. For families you might be better staying in a different area.

We had booked for September 2020 ocktoberfest, an adventure as a group of friends we had talked about for years. Unfortunately with COVID taking over our lives this opportunity has being taken from us. We were coming from Australia and as we are currently in a full lockdown not allowed to go 5 k’s from our homes unable to get to our hotel. Our flights cancelled and refunds on their way, other bookings made for our trip all cancelled and refunded. Our hotel though?? We had asked to move our booking to a time when we are allowed to travel ie ocktoberfest 2021. Happy to pay a rebooking fee if that was required. Didn’t ask for a refund until they flatly refused our request saying “they are still open for business” and our non attendance would be taken as a “no-show”. It has taken us weeks of unanswered emails and messages sent to the hotel and Facebook page to get minimal answers that show little to no compassion about this unprecedented situation that we had booked well before any travel restrictions were put into place. 100% loss of our booking fees nearly $7k’s is unacceptable.
