Meininger Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof

We took the train from Hamburg to Berlin. Stayed at Ibis which is less than a 5 minute walk from the station. What a cute, clean affordable hotel. We had 3 people. Bed was great and the pull out for the 3rd person was perfect. Big room, clean. Overall great stay. Front desk service was excellent.

Very bad experience Stay booked on the All Accor App in January, check-in done the day before my arrival. And here I am on the day of my trip to Berlin, after getting off the plane around 8 PM, I check my emails and see an email from the hotel that canceled my reservation. In the afternoon, the hotel had sent me an email asking for my credit card information to confirm my reservation. Being on the road all day, I did not check my emails, and it is difficult to provide credit card details with all the fraudulent emails. Why was this information not requested at check-in? I have been using this app for about ten years, traveling, and I have never had issues with my reservations. Anyway, I arrive in Berlin on a Saturday night, a weekend with many events, so there are no rooms available on the All Accor app; thanks to Booking, I was able to find a room. I do not recommend this hotel that can cancel your reservation on the day of your trip if you do not respond to their request.

We stayed three nights - Saturday, Sunday, Monday - at the Ibis Berlin Hauptbahnhof. As a frequent IBIS guest, one does not need to say much about the hotel - everything as usual! However, we had a room on the 6th floor facing the courtyard of the AMANO Grand Central - and that was the problem. . Hellish noise until well after midnight on Saturday and Sunday night. Information from the reception: Problem known - but apparently nothing can really be done. If we return - likely due to the location of the hotel - we will definitely seek a room elsewhere.
