I booked a premium room and asked for a quiet room on a higher floor to the rear. This request was confirmed to me in advance by email from the front office. In the IHG app, I found that instead only one standard room was reserved – a downgrade without any consultation.
On request I was informed that there were no premium rooms facing the quiet side and these are only facing the street. However, I would have expected this information proactively – especially before assigning a worse room category independently.
The rooms themselves are functional, but of little quality: simple vinyl flooring and furniture with a “budget” character. Prolonged sitting on the only chair (with "clothing linen mesh" was uncomfortable.
Light and shade at breakfast: You can order good egg dishes from the kitchen. On the buffet, however, limited choice (no salmon) and cheap baked bread rolls (2 varieties on the first day, on the 2nd. Day then 3 varieties). Coffee from the vending machine in canteen quality and cheaper tea bags. Then fresh O-juice on the second day. Why not the first morning? On the second day there were also more staff, on the first day only one service person for the whole breakfast room.
The negative highlight, however, was a call at 11:20 p.m. about an allegedly unpaid city tax of 4.33 euros – despite correctly deposited credit card at check-in. Disturbing guests late at night for such an amount is completely inappropriate and shows a lack of sensitivity in dealing with customers.

I would almost describe myself as a regular at this hotel and was satisfied even with 9/10 stays, but my recent review is unfortunately only poor. My room was not cleaned properly. On the sink, the toilet and the bedside table were visible traces - not to mention the invisible ones... Hygienic is different anyway. It also smelled very strongly of men's perfume. I had checked in at the hotel at 10 p.m., Check Out is at 11 a.m., then cleaning is done sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Perfume doesn't stand in a room that long and that strong.
It seemed to me that the cleaning force was in a hurry. Anyway - since I was actually satisfied so far I could have forgiven that, I would have been offered another clean room. However, the gentlemen at the reception were unable to give me another one, nor could the room be cleaned before I had to spend a night well or badly in it. This is not how you deal with guests, and certainly not with regulars, dear Indigo management. I was offered a drink as an excuse. Should I clean the bathroom with this drink or what?

We had a wonderful stay at **Hotel Indigo Berlin**. The hotel is modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. While the room was on the smaller side, it didn’t bother us at all as we spent most of our time out sightseeing and exploring the city.
One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient, which made the whole experience seamless and really welcoming.
The location is also fantastic. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the train station, which made travelling from the airport extremely easy — we were able to go straight from the airport to the train and then directly to the hotel. That train line is also very well connected, making it an excellent base for exploring Berlin and getting around the city.
There is also a great selection of restaurants and shops nearby, so everything you need is right on your doorstep. The rooms have fridges and there are plenty of shops near by.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.
