AMC Apartments - Bundesallee

We stayed for four days in these apartments and were without hot water until the final night at 8pm. The cost was over €900 and we received compensation of $90 supposedly industry standard of 15% per night. They dinner compensate for the last day as we had hot water at 8pm which was no use as we left 6am the next day. I have continued to complain but to now avail. The holiday was totally ruined exacerbated by the fact that not on did the adults have to have freezing cold showers so did the child that we were travelling with. We complained from day one but nothing was sorted. The customer service afterwards has been horrendous, completely downplaying the fact that this was a major problem and we should just accept the minimal compensation. If this was a hotel we would have received a full refund, not that I’m asking for that but 50% would be much more palatable. I seriously wouldn’t take the risk staying here as I’m sure you can appreciate the importance of having hot water in an apartment. Also the customer services since prices that they don’t actually care about their customers. Extremely disappointed, had this been resolved satisfactorily I would have potentially used again when I return to Berlin next month.

We were promised a baby bed upon arrival, which was not available until next morning despite several phone calls asking for it. Not enough cutlery for all guests. No cleaning (not even removal of trash) during our 5-nights stay. Shower was terrible. Never received the access code on mail including wifi password.

We stayed at Bundesallee 203, which is about 700m from the reception. They do offer a free taxi though. The apartment was spacious, had a fully equipped kitchen and both a shower and a tub. The only minus was that the heating was very hot, so it was a bit too warm in the apartment. Also be warned that the water from the taps is quite hot unless you turn it quite far cold. There are two metro stations nearby, as well as three supermarkets and some restaurants etc, so the location is very good.
