I booked this hotel explicitly because of the feature of “individually adjustable air conditioning” in the higher room categories. In reality, however, this promise turns out to be a deliberate deception of the guest. Despite an outside temperature of 5 °C it was constantly 24 °C warm in the room at night. Cooling down was technically impossible. My husband, an electronics technician by profession (Federal Network Agency), was able to determine expertly on site that the cooling compressor was not switched on centrally, although the panel was set to maximum cooling. The system only operated in ineffective ventilation mode. Upon multiple requests, the reception staff finally openly admitted that the cooling function is centrally controlled and only enabled from an outside temperature of approximately 23 °C. The advertised feature “individually adjustable” therefore does not actually exist, but is deactivated at the discretion of management in order to save costs. Particularly disappointing: I was denied written confirmation of this central throttling despite four requests. Anyone who values a cool room and honest promises of performance should avoid this house. The case has been notified to the Competition Centre for competition investigation. 2 stars because the rooms are very clean and pleasant with currently 24.5°C at an outside temperature of 16°C.

Location is exceptional, close of all transportations, recently renovated, sparkling clean, amenities at the top, very friendly team.

We had 21 days in one of the apartments above the bustle of Olivaer Platz and looking down Leibnizstr. The apartment was quiet and capacious and the service offered by staff excellent. It’s not the first time we have stayed there and again it proved to be an excellent home away from home. The place works. Well done, people.
