Hotel Am Anhalter Bahnhof

Set on a quiet street about 10 mins walk from Potsdamer Platz. Bus stop just outside the hotel so very easy for travel to main bus hub and transfer to airport. Seems to service both tourists and business people. Not a hotel if you want a lot of additional facilities. The breakfast was minimal but enough to satisfy, no cooked just continental style. We spend very little time in the hotel so it suited us but if you want to relax in the hotel itself then this is not for you. Personally we thought it was excellent value for money and the staff very helpful.

The hotel is not in the central district but we managed to locate it. Our group stayed here before we met the tour guide to the other hotel on the other part of town. It is a four storey hotel with a front door so heavy! Always bring your room key everywhere you go because all doors lock from behind. There is nothing complimentary, not even water. Rooms are average size and clean and fresh linens. There is a grocery shopping nearby and it is located in the Jakob Kaiser Platz stop. We were on the third floor but that did not stop the noise from the main road as construction trucks and utility trucks started their services early. It was soooo noisy.

Great hotel, well situated for access to rest of city. In a fairly quiet area fairly close to Anhalter Bahnhof subway. Hotel itself is very clean and has friendly helpful staff. Rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean. Looking forward to another visit soon.
