Pension Regenbogen

Had a couple of nights here while visiting Berlin, about 35 Euros a night , which for the location is good value. Clean, basic accommodation, helpful owners. There is a kitchenette for your use, with microwave , fridge and toaster. Ideal location, 5 minutes walk to Frankfurter Alle station, and 5 minutes walk the other way for a Lidl supermarket.There is a general coffee shop/eating place next to it.I was impressed with the the wifi, quite fast. If you are looking for a good value place to stay this is it, will stay again

The room was quite large, but it was very dark, the rolette for windows was out of order so we felt like there was night 24/7. Room and bathroom was clean, coffee tea for free. When we check in the lady was nice, but when we checked out that guy was staring to the pc and didn't bother to respond... Nice area around and not far from public transport. It wasn't bad.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from a U-Bahn stop that connects to Alexanderplatz (a 5-10 minute ride). There are many restaurants and cafés in the area as well as a grocery store just down the street. It is a basic hotel, no frills, but it is comfortable, clean, and well priced. I had a comfort room with a private bath and the towels were changed daily. There is a common area with a fridge, microwave, and coffee. Wifi worked well. One thing that is not obvious when you book is that the rooms are separate from the main office and down the street a little ways. You get two keys- one to unlock the outside doors and then a key to your room. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, so this isn't really a big deal.
