Comfort Hotel Bremerhaven

At the North Sea Hotel Fischerhafen in Bremerhaven we were not the first time as a family, but this visit was different from the previous ones. At check-in after a full day in the car we had to deal with an outrageous, disrespectful, obviously overwhelmed employee (Mrs. S...n). The 3 adjacent rooms, arranged at the time of booking directly at the hotel, to accompany our over 80-year-old father were on floors 1 and 3 and not next to each other. On complaints about it on site was offered by the on-duty "little girl, as opposed to you" (quoting us as paying guests!!!) to cancel even though all hotels were fully booked. At check-in you have to pay immediately in advance, the hotel telephone system is permanently defective, room cleaning (for environmental reasons, haha) only every 4 days - the Service in this regard in cheaper hotels looks different! Positive was the friendliness of the other staff, whether at breakfast in Service or kitchen or when "cleaning" the rooms, also the caretaker and the night porter were super friendly and helpful. Negative was besides the above mentioned staff that the management of the hotel did not manage to address us in a week of our stay because of the situation at check-in. In addition, unfounded responses (the affected guests were not interviewed!) to reviews are not signed by name by the hotel management - unless "hotel management" is the family name. Too bad, but the location of the hotel does not determine whether a guest will come back!!!

Having been guests before, we didn't have to think long. This time the wheelchair accessible room (219). Two separate rooms! Second TV for an accompanying person !? Refrigerator available. Bathroom barrier-free with shower seat. Is something cramped?! 🚾 with folding supports. Various handles and mirror adjustment. ⚠️⚠️ Only shortcoming HARDLY TO NO OUTLETS IN BOTH ROOMS ⚠️⚠️ Otherwise TOP. Great breakfast - very nice staff.

We had a lovely stay: Friendly welcome, nice, clean room, although not brand new anymore. Air conditioning available. Nice view of the harbour basin.Free parking and good breakfast. Location right in the port area has something.
