Grand City Hotel Hamburg Mitte

Clean and spacious room. Small but essential bathroom. Excellent location right in the center. If you are looking for luxury don't go, but if you want the essential unpretentious is what you are looking for. Clean bathroom, clean room, nice staff.

As it was a last minute trip in a busy period I ended up in this hotel. Drove past it a couple of times as there is little exposure on the outside. I was lucky to have a junior suite and some extra room. The rooms airco/heating can be switch on or off but not regulated. A lot of traffic from outside traffic. The shower could not be regulated in warmth, so only one temperature with a shower head that had to be held. I missed facilities like water or coffee/tea facilities. No restaurant in the surrounding, so I had to go into the city.

We arrived a couple of hours before due to check inn but the receptionist welcomed us with a great smile and managed to get us a room - excellent service. The breakfast was continental and had several choices. The beds were ok and the rooms clean.
