Hotel Haus am Park

Stayed one night. The main hotel looks modern, but our room was in the dependence, which was clearly much older. The room itself was spacious, but the bathroom was quite small — no separate shower stall, and I had to climb into the bathtub (not ideal at my age, 75). There was also no place to put toiletries. The smell from the restaurant downstairs wasn’t pleasant. Breakfast was served in the main building, meaning we had to go outside in the rain to get there. At €19 per person, it felt overpriced, especially if you just want a coffee and croissant. Parking in the underground garage was very tight and limited — difficult to maneuver. Overall, a mixed experience: decent room size, but too many inconveniences for the price.

I cannot share the sometimes devastating reviews. However, these can be for various reasons. Either the quality fluctuates or it has been significantly improved recently. The hotel is not among the most modern and Glamor you certainly look for in vain, but it is all clean and well maintained. The Service and breakfast buffet are good, but the price is rather moderate. We will come back in October and will certainly have a pleasant stay.

Over the Christmas holidays we were 3 days guests in the Haus am Park. We were hardly there, we should pay immediately and were even asked...if we wanted an invoice, which is actually self-evident that it will be issued !!!! Actually, we haven't experienced this in any hotel yet. Room made a clean and tidy impression. In the bathroom we had a shower tray. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, there was no handle to hold on to. And there's a risk of slipping in the tub. Not one storage facility just a sink. Breakfast was catastrophic. Buns were on the 1st. Day dry and very hard...not edible cold cuts and cheese was nothing left. The bread was old and dry...packaged discount bread. It was followed up only after request. Scrambled eggs were gray. On the second day the rolls were still burned and hard again ...let alone the bread dry grey dark and grain bread ( prepackaged discounter ) bread again. On the 3rd day the rolls were not even baked. They are always baked-on rolls. The day after the holiday there were those rolls again and the bread was even worse...it was like hard cracker bread. The lady at breakfast was very unfriendly. At 10am we were almost kicked out on the 2nd holiday, although breakfast was until 10h30. It was cleared and cleaned 10h ago and the dish trolley was rolled up. If we hadn't already paid, we would have taken a deduction. Unfortunately, we haven't seen the head of the house all along. Only ever saw the lady and a gentleman from the breakfast staff in the morning. A Hotel in Bad Homburg and Friedrichsdorf we have not experienced and will neither recommend nor book it once. In our opinion, not a hotel of the upper middle class.
