Ekkos

I stayed in this hotel for around 9 days. It's nicely located,beautifully nestled to the small park in the middle of the center of town. Around it you find all these beautiful old frame houses. Quite a number of rooms is also facing this area. Only steps away you'll find restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel itself provides nice rooms, only you may need to go for a comfort room. Only 10 Euros more anyway. Breakfast is offered as buffet. Appeared to me a little poor compared with other 4 star hotels. And the selection used to be the same every day. Guys, just give it a change once in a while. Else your guests may get bored when they stay a bit longer! Regarding the staff I'm quite undetermined what to say. There are wonderful guys who really want to make you feel comfortable (thank you very much Mr. Schlick) but some are missing that kind of professionalism you may expect in a 4 star hotel. Seems to be a general problem there, as I was told that they are desperately looking for good staff. Anyway I'd have given the hotel a 'very good' or even more, if these two points (some staff and breakfast) would have been better. If you don't mind this, it's a nice place to stay.

I have visited this hotel multiple times over the last two years. All of these visits were for business. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are huge on the new side of the hotel. Great value for money and great facilities. The food served for lunch and dinner is also very good and very easy if you want a quiet night in. The staff have been great over the visits although new ownership has cause problems. Overall this is a good hotel and easy for my visits, hopefully the levels will not drop

We stayed at EKKOs Kultur- und Tagungshotel 11-13 Juli 2015 and didn't find our stay very pleasent. When we arrived the wasn't any person at the front desk but only a note to ring the bell which we did. A very stressed and NOT very friendly lady turned up and the situation didn't got better when the was a lack of keycards, she "ordered" us to go back to our car and get our bags which wasn't easy since the car was heavy packed. We all had the feeling that we were not guests we were just more trouble. We ask for what the price for en extra night would be since we were considdering staying for an extra knight since e had a long travel, now she rolls her eyes and sighs "same price as your first night". In the morning we decided for the extra night and went to the front desk and told them that we wishedto stay an extra nigh which was fine. When we came back to the hotel later the same day we thought that the room should have been cleaned but it hasn't been touched at all. When we checked out we had the "pleasure" of the not so friendly lady at the front desk once again and when i asked here some questions about the invoice that i didn't understand her reply was "WHAT" and rolled her eyes once again. We were all very happy when we left since we feelt that we wasn't very welcome.
