City Hotel Bad Vilbel

The staff at the reception was very friendly. The man at the bar in the evening was also quite nice at first. We sat outside. When our friends arrived, there was nothing left to drink outside, and he was no longer so friendly. No more cocktails after 11 PM. The breakfast buffet was very minimalistic for a 4-star hotel, and the staff was not friendly either. The hotel is not air-conditioned, and there weren't even decent, functioning fans. What a pity.

In these temperatures, is there really no air conditioning in a 4-star hotel?? I hardly slept, and the room was incredibly hot. The breakfast buffet was simply meager and did not look inviting, whereas the dinner was beautifully arranged and delicious. The staff, on the other hand, was very nice and helpful. They cannot be blamed, but this hotel does not deserve 4 stars.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel with 44 people and had booked half board! Even during the preparation, we were very kindly supported, and our requests were very well implemented. The rooms are overall quite spacious, the beds were praised, and smaller requests/issues were immediately fulfilled/addressed. The breakfast was also good and plentiful. Our dinner, consisting of salad, a warm buffet, and dessert, was very well received and tasted great. Even before the trip began, we were presented with suggestions for our dinner, which we gladly accepted. The participants were truly satisfied! After the meal, many were able to indulge themselves in the foyer through the bar service. The service overall: We can only praise the reception, room service, restaurant staff, etc., and our conclusion: we can sincerely recommend the City Hotel and would also book here again if we are in the area!!!
