MERCURE HOTEL FRANKFURT AIRPORT DREIEICH

Excellent service - check in and bar. Wonderful room. Every room has a balcony. Close to Airport. The only improvement I could think of is a shuttle service to the airport, otherwise an ideal place to stay.

It’s about 14 km from the airport and is in a residential area. There are not many places for food nearby and on Monday nights all local places are closed. However the hotel bar and restaurant is good and the food is really nice, the burgers are really really good, and the service is excellent. The reason for the low stars is.....the rooms are large but for some reason the double beds have two single quilts not one, and the beds are so hard I used one quilt to make it more bearable. Stone floors are softer than these beds. Also there was only one socket which I could just reach from my bedside table, when I pulled the plug out the whole thing came out of the wall! The bed headboard was damaged and the rooms need decorating. There are Balconies but o where to sit.

Quite disappointed from the Mercure brand. Breakfast room very big, with cold atmosphere (like a cantine), poor wifi or GSM connection. Service was very basic... 15 min to wait for a beer. Had to stand up and request it again. (2 servers, with not a lot of people to serve). Will not come back.
