COURTYARD FRANKFURT NORDWESTZE

As a family (4 people), we had two rooms with 1 connecting door (it was very stuck and hardly opened). 1 room with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. The hotel urgently needs renovation: - no air conditioning (windows cannot be tilted, can only be fully opened), it was hardly bearable at 95 degrees Fahrenheit - no refrigerator - getting into the bathtub is dangerous for older people (very slippery) - the elevator takes forever, the door closes very slowly, no manual closing button - Breakfast: The pancakes were extremely hard, they must have been sitting in the pile for a long time, and nothing fresh was replenished Positive: - location directly at the Northwest Center - parking for 12 euros per night

For one or two nights ok.The hotel is very old. The gentlemen at the reception were very friendly. The breakfast for 12 euros is rather paltry, but the coffee is good. All in all ok for the low price. On the first day, a lady was working as a breakfast attendant, who cleaned the tables with disposable gloves and disposed of the waste...then she wiped the tables with the same gloves and re-laid them with the same gloves....that was not apetitive to me....

I stayed in this hotel as I needed to be in the area for business. Given the location, I guess that’s the mean reason for existence of this Trip Inn as it’s a bit of the beaten track. However, it can also serve as a cheap alternative when visiting Frankfurt as there an U-bahn connection in the nextdoor Nordwestzentrum shopping mall. The room was pretty modern with its laminate flooring and comfortable bed. The bathroom on the contrary could use a facelift. The hotel has a little bar next to the reception. As there’s not much to do in the area – the restaurants in the shopping mall close at 10pm – it’s a good place to have a last drink with colleagues. The breakfast buffet had sufficient choice of food, so no complaints. The hotel offers parking but better to park in the public underground parking of the shopping mall, as it will save you 6 Euro / night
