Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt-Messe

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Shortly after making my reservation, I called the hotel because I had accidentally booked a room in the wrong city. The receptionist was very kind and assured me that my reservation would be cancelled and that I would receive a full refund. Despite this, the payment was still charged to my card. I have also never received any confirmation of the cancellation, and the hotel has completely ignored my emails asking for an update. What frustrates me the most is not the mistake itself, but the fact that they failed to honor the agreement made by their own receptionist and have not responded to my attempts to resolve the issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Excellent for a three-star hotel, clean rooms, very good mattress, good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, but a special mention for Angela at the reception; I had several issues with my flight, and she was always very helpful and did everything possible to assist me. Holiday Inn Frankfurt offered comfortable, well-equipped rooms and provided a pleasant stay overall. Its central location was a great advantage, and the spacious lobby added to the comfort of the hotel. The breakfast was standard and satisfactory. We stayed at the hotel with a student group. However, from the moment we arrived, I felt that there was a certain prejudice toward us simply because we were a school group. In particular, one gentleman at the reception desk, who wore glasses, came across as very strict and unwelcoming. I do not think it is fair to generalize or treat all school groups in the same way. Every school and every group has its own unique profile, and guests should be approached individually rather than based on assumptions. Despite this experience, the hotel itself was comfortable and well maintained.
