Maingau

The overall experience is very average: correct reception but nothing more, wifi in the rooms cuts out constantly, impossible to work, very small and noisy room, decent breakfast

With a friend I stayed in room 22 for a weekend (two nights) at the end of April 2026. The hotel is spread over two parts of the building, which are connected by a corridor. The main building is located on Schifferstraße. The annex is located at Brückenstraße 58. The way into the annex is not barrier-free. It goes up and down (half) stairs. Although there is an elevator in the main building, this does not help the guests of the annex. He stops on the mezzanine. If you want to go to the corridor of the annex, you have to go up or down half a staircase. Our room had no air conditioning. It could therefore get quite warm in the summer. The room was facing the street. Anyone who wants to sleep with the window open must therefore expect corresponding noises. We didn't mind the sounds. The room did not have a refrigerator. In combination with the lack of air conditioning, hot drinks can therefore occur in the summer. The room is cleaned only by prior registration. Registration must be submitted to reception by 18:00 the day before. If necessary, register the cleaning for the next day immediately upon check-in. Towels can be changed daily until approximately 3:00 p.m. for the same day at reception. The reception is open daily until 22:00. The room was equipped with two small shallow waters as well as a Nespresso machine (incl. some capsules). When we moved into the room, we still found the crown cap of an old water bottle in the room. In addition, it smelled a bit like drain in the bathroom. The mattresses were fine. We had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good. The staff were always friendly to us. We really liked the location of the hotel. In the middle of old Sachsenhausen and thus in a good and safe environment.

The Maingau hotel is ideal for us cyclists of the Mainradweg ideal... the room 204 facing the street, but opposite a P:-)rk!, was nevertheless not noisy, despite the open window, rather a small thoroughfare in Sachsenhausen, which was for us a wonderful nightlife district after our cycling. -we recommend the Lorsbacher Thal , Große Rittergasse - The room is modern with everything necessary, very good for a cyclist's night. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We were able to park our bikes safely in the courtyard. I recommend the Maingau Hotel. Christian Schubert, Munich
