Mercure Wings Frankfurt Airport

The hotel isn't at the airport but is in nearby Raunheim, which is either a shuttle bus ride away or Euro35 by taxi. However, room rates are very reasonable, and the hotel is very clean and comfortable with decent breakfast and helpful reception. Rooms are comfortable. Around Raunheim there are a number of good places for local cuisine and beers. This is much better than being stuck at the airport. The shuttle going to the airport costs Euro5, but that is fair enough as only the users pay the cost. Overall, good Quality Price Ratio and an enjoyable stay.

Clean, spacious, and modern room. Comfortable beds but I would recommend bringing your own pillows. Appears to be well maintained. The staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy. Parking outside hotel is free (if available) and €10 in the underground garage. There is coffee and tea in the room. Bathroom had a full bathtub with shower (not just a shower). We had a closet, desk, small breakfast table, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Well priced for the quality. Highly recommend.

Stayed at Amedia for one night only because I wanted to be close to the airport and they had a courtesy bus, which I could use in the morning to get my flight, plus it was only a 15 minute walk from Raunheim S-bahn railway station. The first thing I had to do when I got to my room was walk all the way back to reception to get my room key card reprogrammed, the door wouldn't open. The room was a good size and all was spotlessly clean, but if I was staying for more than one night I would have asked for another room, the sink was blocked & drained very slowly, the toilet roll holder was almost hanging off the wall, one good pull & it would have gone and the TV was not working. One thing that did have me scratching my head was that there was a kettle, coffee cups and stirrers but no coffee or tea?, I went down the supermarket & bought my own. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was good and the staff were friendly. Not forgetting, it's a good shuttle service to the airport.
