MOEVENPICK HOTEL FRANKFURT CIT

Stayed here before and loved the location across from Skyline mall. However, with the closure of the hotel on 15 February, I recognized just how guest unfriendly they are. They cancelled the last day of my stay because of the closure and didn’t bother to help find other Accor accommodations. At a stay I had at a different Accor hotel, they had elevator problems, so they booked me in a sister hotel at the same rate. When Mövenpick cancelled my reservation, I had to search for another hotel that was slightly more expensive and a lower quality because they didn’t provide much notice of the cancelled stay. For the end of my stay, I asked for and was given a late checkout of an additional hour (13:00 instead of 12:00). I didn’t want to be wandering around for 3 hours between checkout time and check-in at the new hotel, especially on a Sunday when everything was closed. Right before noon, the official checkout time, I get a knock at the door that I had to leave and would not be given a late checkout. Their attitude was “who cares about you the guest. Find and pay more for your new room and who cares that you have to wander around for 3 hours before you can check into your new hotel.”

Although as a hotel it was really nice it lacked something really important . Any space for smokers . I understand the policy of no smoking inside the room and inside spaces in general but they should at least have a balcony or the windows should open fully in order to be able to smoke . It is unreal to be forced to go down and outside the hotel in such weather conditions especially . Someone who smokes constantly cannot enjoy the stay cause something that is a part of their everyday routine is not acceptable at all. Something like that in Europe shouldn’t have been a problem . Really disappointing honestly cause you feel like you’re being judged for your own choices . Such a shame for a good hotel in general

We are currently staying at the Mövenpick Hotel and already at the check in yesterday I was told at least 3 times that this hotel will close on 15.02.26!! At the moment there is neither at the reception nor in the housekeeping someone from the hotel own staff on site but it is a loan company, which has received hardly or no briefing from the last loan company! kicked out 2 days ago. We noticed this right at check-in. It was underground!! The housekeeping is on strike (flyer in the elevators) and you can see this both in the hallway and on untidy dishes left in the room. Let the poor loan company fix it with its staff. Just like this on the sidelines for Accor status customers: I was not granted a drink voucher for my Accor Gold status. This program was not known par excellence or the reception staff were not instructed accordingly. I was not able to pay for my stay with Accor points this morning either, because the young ladies from the rental company according to their own statement had received no briefing at all from the last rental company 2 days ago.... Conclusion: The Mövenpick Frankfurt hotel management shows how it should not go!!!! On the backs of paying guests and on the backs of untrained or poorly instructed temporary staff!!!! By the way, we have been to this hotel several times over the years and recognize the difference to otherwise very well!
