Why "Wellness"?
Wellness hotel Aqualux, upon arrival you see a well-maintained hotel, setting high expectations. You are received at the reception where a reel, poorly understood, is played and the key card is handed out. There are elevators in the buildings, but you first have to go up or down the stairs. The rooms haven't been renovated for so long, nicely done. But the plaster clashes heavily with the bathrooms. The (very) old sanitary ware remained, but neatly worked around. But since the average age will be well over 60, the very cramped shower cabins are a disgrace. The beds, on the other hand, are new and comfortable. The rooms are clean, really clean. And are also cleaned in between upon request. The bath linens will be changed upon request. The bath sheets may not be used for the wellness. There are packages to rent. The sauna facilities are good and clean. But what is a shame is that it is located in the basement of a building, and there is no elevator access. Also no direct connection outside, so with the stairs up where an unheated outdoor pool can be found. Breakfast, just like lunch and dinner, are in buffet form in the restaurant. The buffet is in a poorly chosen place, right by the narrow entrance. And the open salad bar is closing up next to a table with guests, not arranged hygienically. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, the lunch is a bit above that. Dinner is a disgrace for an (all-inclusive) hotel. Little choice, flat in taste and uninspiring. I think the profit should be rolled into that. Free coffee and tea all day, there are various coffee machines in the complex, but only 1 is available on the day, it's beyond words. In the evening hours, entertainment is offered in spaces where only a small part of the guests can fit. A "playroom" where the chairs alone provide enough physical exercise.
The service throughout the day and evening is done, it cannot be called "cared for," by unmotivated staff. The "all-in" concept is filled with a very limited offering. For non-alcoholic drinkers, a cola or Sprite will do, the fruit juice is only available at breakfast. The bar opens at 8:00 PM, where the staff would rather stare at a screen than please the guests.
In all, no reason to consider a visit again
