Good hotel for a work conference. Room with everything you need. Breakfast excellent Restaurant good with huge portions Staff friendly and dedicated Rooftop terrace wonderful Unfortunately, the sauna and swimming pool must be paid for separately

....but....we clearly planned the weekend over May 1st, knowing that many other people had the same idea. Furthermore, we were surprised by the actual size of the hotel. So, if you are looking for coziness, this is not the place for you. 4 rooms were booked for 9 people. With half board. A reduction for a room for just one night went completely smoothly. Thank you. In the same room, the valuable candy and the mineral water were forgotten. After a complaint was made, a correction was immediately made. Thank you as well. Tables for half board were reserved for 6:00 PM each evening. Due to the arrangement of the tables, there was a very long wait. Better to make an appointment for a later time. The elevators were also quite overloaded. The quality of the breakfast and also the food in le Jardin is completely convincing. Superbly organized for the size of the hotel. Nice selection and sufficient staff. Great buffet with sensationally good bread. The dining room is quite loud and the paths are a bit longer. There is also a lot of movement in Toro. Here too, nice quality. The terrace and the afternoon lounge are recommended. We also enjoyed the Rustiko bar for an evening drink. Everything could be charged to the room. The drink menu is nearly identical across the various bars and restaurants. The panoramic bar is wonderful in clear weather. The rooms are clean and sufficiently spacious. The wellness area is more than bustling. Certainly due to the long weekend and the good weather. The only quiet relaxation room was the one overlooking the municipal swimming pool. For just under 5 euros, you can swim your laps here in peace. The hotel's saltwater pool opens at 9:00 AM and is not very crowded at that time. In the afternoons, there were no standing spots available. The critical remarks do not go home with the hotel; they merely serve to provide context when one seeks quiet relaxation. It was not for us. The way to the city is short. In about 10-12 minutes, you can walk to both the cathedral area and the Bermuda Triangle. We found the staff to be consistently very friendly. Even the check-in was a bit "rough." There was supposed to be a bill, but everyone had to leave a credit card. Incomprehensible. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel makes a good impression overall. The rooms are clean and functional, which is quite enough for a pleasant stay. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet) is varied and of good quality. Especially noteworthy is the bar, especially thanks to barman Kevin (probably the most likeable Schalker far and wide;-)), which I can definitely recommend. My room was facing the station side, which I would not necessarily recommend due to the soundscape. The car park is located directly on the opposite side of the street.
