Intercityhotel Darmstadt

Quiet hotel despite its location right by the train station, bus, and tram hub at the door. Clear style in warm colors without frills. Elevator and ground-level shower, but unfortunately the bathroom would be too small for wheelchair users. Nice senior room with an interesting view of the illuminated tracks and the possibility to prepare tea and coffee in the room. Helpful friendly staff and a good breakfast buffet. I felt well taken care of.

It seems that the hotel does not provide any room cleaning, maintenance and not even change towels and the tea mug for the rooms and this was not communicated at any point to me, not even during my check in. When I asked about it and I needed some clean towels and clean tea mug, the staff at that afternoon shift were extremely unfriendly and makes me feel very uncomfortable. They asked me to clean the tea mug in my room with water and they were very hesitant on providing me a clean one and take the used one... It was unbelievable!!! On top, the rooms are very old, dirty and extremely hot, the AC doesn't seem to work at all and it's only heating up even more. Thanks God that I was there just for couple of nights this time... I have many more trips to Darmstadt coming and I am not going to stay in this hotel anymore. Absolutely not recommendable!!! Any other option would be much better...
