Best Western Grand City Hotel Kassel

Absolutely outdated. Some inventory is broken. Everything is bumped and worn out. It seems dirty. The window/door cannot be closed properly, always in the ground floor! It smells like sewage. Silverfish and other small creatures! I have rarely felt so uncomfortable! The only one who was very accommodating and friendly was the receptionist, for that there is one star!

A hotel where the pictures lie with modernity and quality of the hotel building and rooms. Nice staff and good breakfast make up for a slightly worn hotel where both bar and restaurant were closed.

The hotel is very well located as an overnight stay on the A7. Granted, it is massively old and not really clean in many corners, but “ok” for one night. In the rooms, a lamp is broken here and there, all a bit “vintage”. The hotel has a large parking space, which costs another 8€ extra. There is a rich breakfast in the manner of many business hotel chains, not great but perfectly ok. The reception at the reception was very friendly and solution-oriented, as he even on late arrival still picked out the towels missing in the room. The lady at the breakfast buffet was super nice and has greeted and said goodbye to everyone individually. Conclusion: The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would look for another place to stay next time.
